Laurel County Sheriff’s Office Conducts Weekend Death Investigation

Following the discovery of a deceased male subject along the KY 552/railroad tracks intersection Saturday afternoon, Laurel County officials opened a death investigation.

Investigators from the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office reported that 38 year-old Brandon North was apparently struck by a train and was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy was conducted on North’s body in Frankfort yesterday, where the release of final results are being awaited.
