School Board Members Held Back From Making Decision

During Yesterday’s School Board Meeting the motion to start school virtually through September 2nd and September 25th was passed.
Parents of the district who were concerned about the boards decision, voiced their concerns to board members, who themselves stated that they made a decision a week prior to open up in-person classes before the KDE mandate was announced that all public schools who do open up early will face de-funding consequences.
Superintendent David Gillium, voiced his “regretful recommendation” to a virtual start to the school year.
