CDC Releases Updated Recommended Immunization Chart for Infants & Children

Keeping track of children’s immunizations can be a challenging task for any parent, especially if there are multiple children of different ages in the household. However, a new chart released by the Center for Disease Control may be able to help parents with keeping their records straight.

The chart details when parents should take their children to the doctor’s office to receive specific immunizations from the ages of 1 month to 6 years old.

The Hepatitis B vaccine is recommended for infants at two different age ranges, once when the child is 1-2 months and again when they are 6-18 months old. The IPV and yearly Influenza vaccinations are also recommended by the CDC to be administered during the 6-18 month range.

Other vaccinations, such as the Hib, PCV13, MMR, and Varicella are suggested within the more narrow time span of 12-15 months. The comprehensive chart can be viewed below:
