Domestic Dispute Ends in Arrest of Madison County Man

This past Sunday, on Landon Lane, the Richmond Police department report receiving a call in reference to an alleged domestic dispute.
Upon arrival police spoke to the victim who was the girlfriend of 31 year old, Jared L. Hubbard. She allegedly advised officers that they were in an argument and then Hubbard pushed her to the ground. While the victim was on the ground she reported to police that Hubbard proceeded to allegedly get on-top of her and attempt a “chokehold.”
Hubbard reportedly left the scene before officers arrived, he later returned and spoke to police, admitting to pushing his girlfriend down in self defense due to her allegedly attacking him. Police also report observing various Marijuana bongs and a scale with residue on it inside the house. Hubbard reportedly advised officials all the paraphernalia was his.
Hubbard was lodged in the Madison County Detention Center on charges of 4th Degree Assault and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
