Richmond Area Arts Council to Host Online Courses
Written by WBON News Team on August 3, 2020
COVID-19 has forced a lot of Spring and Summer event cancellations. However, the Richmond Area Arts Council will be offering various virtual Zoom classes throughout August and September!
The first class is a soap making course with Desia Batiste on August 13 from 6-7 p.m. Batiste has been making soap in the Nashville area for over 20 years. Tuition is $10, and registration is available through the RAAC’s website at https://artsinrichmond.org/class/soapmaking. After registration is completed, a Zoom link will be emailed. Recommended supplies include melt and pour soap base (available at most craft stores), liquid soap, unflavored Knox gelatin, and a silicone mold such as an ice cube tray. Fragrances are optional.
The second class being offered by the RAAC is the Basics and Blues Online Guitar Workshop, taught by Fun With The Arts instructor, Kevin Case. The class will meet by Zoom each Tuesday in September from 5-6 p.m. The workshop is open to all ages and tuition is $50 for 5 classes. Register online at https://artsinrichmond.org/class/guitarworkshop and a Zoom link will be emailed.
For further questions, email Director@ArtsinRichmond.org with any inquiries pertaining to the courses.
