Laurel County Traffic Violation Results in Alleged Drug Bust

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office reports arresting Mack E. Jones age 39 of Williamsburg early Wednesday morning on August 12th. The arrest occurred on North Main St. in London following a traffic stop conducted on a gray Ford Fusion for an alleged equipment violation.
During the stop Deputies report that the driver was operating on a suspended license. Deputies also report that the driver was allegedly found in possession of a handgun while being a convicted felon. In addition, according to deputies the driver was also found in possession of suspected crystal methamphetamine, Suboxone, marijuana, and a large amount of US currency.

Mack E. Jones was charged with operating on suspended or revoked operator’s license, trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, failure to wear a seatbelt and a rear license plate not illuminated.
Jones was lodged in the Laurel County correctional center.
