Coroner: still unsure about cause of overnight deadly motorcycle wreck

In the early morning hours, a motorcycle wreck resulted in the death of a 44-year-old man. According to Madison County Coroner Jimmy Cornelison, John David Pentecost of 4 Mile Road in Richmond lost control of the motorcycle near Old US 25 North/Clay’s Ferry near the Kentucky River and Boone’s Trace subdivision. This is the same area that another motorcyclist lost their life last month.
Cornelison says that Pentecost was traveling southbound up a hill when he either lost control or had a medical emergency. The reason for the uncertainty at this time, the Coroner says, is that it was not immediately obvious looking at the outside trauma of the body what exactly would have caused death.
Cornelison says the body has been sent to Frankfort for an autopsy Friday to get the final word on the cause and manner of the man’s death.
